Cod's eyes. Silicon spray is the enemy of the vehicle refinisher. After years with fighting the effects of it, either airborne or applied directly, I never use the stuff.

i also use the Muc Off silicone spray ,spray on wipe surplus off,does a great job and bike looks superb. The Muc of dirt remover/cleaner i won't use. I think this is quite strong in chemicals. I use to use that, but diluted it down 3 to 1 till it ran out.

A cheaper alternative to Muc off Silicone is The GT85. halfords stocked it had the cheapest price a couple of months back

Muc Off is good for me used it on Moto-x and Road Bikes with no ill effect

If you look in your BMW manual it states if you use Silicone Spray your warranty is null and void
