Silverstone MotoGP 2025

I'm thinking about going to this, having never been to it before, (although I have been to most European race venues) and wondered if the learned few, on here, have any recommendations for a hotel within a 30 mins. drive of the circuit.
All constructive comments will be well received!
I know I'm a bit late but it's a decade change birthday event thing!

Silverstone is an old airfield, in the middle of….um…. fields.

The village itself is small.

Northampton is a dump.

Find an Air B&B.

Premier inn just down the road from the track. I booked it the day they changed the date of the race so no doubt they have doubled the price if they have any rooms left.
Be prepared for a 2 min lap.

Within 30 minutes of the circuit? Anything any good will have probably been booked weeks ago.

Put ‘Country pub hotels near Silverstone’ into Google and work your way patiently through the list. I tried two decent ones, both booked on the Friday / Saturday night, unsurprisingly. Then try further afield, even if it means getting up earlier.

Whitlebury Hall hotel is nice but is likely to be full as teams tend to stay there.

Woodlands campsite really ram you in, no space at all. If tempted to camp, give that one a swerve

I was planning on going this year, camping on the cartmel site and staying Friday to Monday.
the Monday is a bank holiday too which is a bonus.

However friends of ours are having an engagement party we have committed too on the Saturday.
might just get general Raceday tickets now.
