Since loading AVG...

...every e-mail I get now has a paperclip symbol with it, but there are no attachments?

Its not really a problem, but it makes me think that there is something there everytime, when there isnt.

It's just the log file as far as I can remember.

AVG is going to stop being free soon - start looking for a new AV
- DO NOT use norton or McAfee - i'm guessing NOD32 will be the way to go....

Double click the little AVG icon ont task bar
Highlight email scanner, no go to properties bottom right
Another box opens, go to configure
Under email scanning uncheck the box that say "certify mail" under the "check incoming mail"

AVG free continues
and long may it do so. it's just a little harder to find the free download at the moment on some webpages.

Mind you AVG is about the only AV programme I WOULD buy

I buy AVG basic for about £22 a year ...does its job very well and their helpline is simply superb ( my 'personal' helper is like me, married, no kids, Landrover, two German Shepherds and her hubby likes bikes - how is THAT for a personal service )
