Anyone on this one?

We want to make maximum use of our 6 month import allowance for the car but the Moroccan Tourist Visa is vaild only for 3 months.
Since it is difficult to exit Morocco without the car, what is the best plan to extend our Tourist Visa?
Thanks.

You need to visit a police station to extend your stay, and then customs office (any town with port or airport) to extend vehicle as you are unlikely to be given more than three months when you enter.

Hi Tim,I was under the impression that the temp import for a non commercial vehicle was 6 months in 12.
Please advise cheers.

Yes, but the customs will write a date on the D16TER form by which the vehicle is due out of the country and it is unlikely to be given six months when you, the owner, are only allowed three months.

However, you could always try asking for six months up front when you speak to the customs on arrival.

Please let us know how you get on.

Understood thanks Tim.We are crossing on the 15th April so will let you know,I guess to renew I either take a visit to Ceuta or Spanish mainland.
Is there a minimum turn around time ?
Cheers.

Crossing Update:

2 passengers and a 4x4 66 Euros ALG - TNG MED (at port).

Given 6 months temp import on arrival at TNG MED.
