had a search on the forum but cant find any useful threads for size 14 boots (eu 49)

So, anybody got any recommendations on where I can get some good adventure type boots.
If I have a choice my preference would be for minimal bling, but mainly want good quality, safe, comfy, dry & warm boots.

Have come across the Forma adventure which come in a 49, but word in t'internet is saying you need to go up a size on your normal fit which means a 50 for me
Other makes all seem to end at a 47 or 48

Any steer toward a pair of boots would be much appreciated.

I said hello in the other thread. As I mentioned, I wear a Size 13 boot. I personally would steer away from the adventure boot and use good ol'British Army winter boots made by Lowe. I would argue they are as tough as any boot out there and do 3 width sizes as well as sizes up and past your 14s. I have had mine for 4 years and they are still a 100%. I would not wear any other boot.

I picked up 1 pair for £15 including postage and those (as I said) are still going strong almost 4 years later. I got 3 more sets which I suspect I will never get the use out of now.

Altberg make made to measure boots,a few different style/models to choose from.

Thanks for the replies folks - just seen a link to Altberg on another thread, will have a look.

lmg - food for thought on the KISS principle and cheap too.
Similar looking to my forestry/chainsaw type boots which I am using in the meantime. Just not sure on their waterproofness or protection if coming off else I would stick with them.

Altberg a colleague at work had size 14 feet , they sorted him out no bother

Good thing about the army lowes is that they have a full stitched tongue and are generally as waterproofed as you can get. These are the winter ones so are warn as well.

SIDI Adventure come in a UK14. You will need to order them from a Euorpean site as the are not stocked in the UK and will not order them

I bought a pair 3 years ago from a Italian website but I found a German site that was selling them for £240.00.

Word to the wise if you buy them. Clean them and look after the stitching, I didnt and now mine leak :(

Soles lasted 3 years and GB Leather can replace at £100.00.

Just checked, my boots are EUR50 and UK14. I normally wear 14 and the fit is great.

Cheers Alex

Seems to be a few other makes that do make the bigger sizes, but cant get them in the UK as per the Sidi Adventure - bit odd.
Definitely some options regardless for us sasquatches, just takes a bit more digging.

If you go the adventure boot way make sure you check know your calf measurements as mine never fit.

Daytona make boots up to that size...

........As do "O'Neal"...I have a pair of MX/Enduro boots by them in size 14 that were not only very inexpensive, but are very comfy and well made.
I used them for several years offroading in Morocco and they served me very well. (still in use actually, though not for the purpose they're intended for)

THESE aren't the exact same, but I'm guesing they're the current incarnation of mine......£115 quid, bloody bargain :)

EDIT...I also have calf fitting problems......I had a pair of the BMW enduro boots in a 13 that I could get my feet into but no way on earth could I get the calf flaps closed or even close to it.....The O'neals are fine for that though :)

You can get these in the UK - I got mine from Helmet City in Chicester.

Sidi Adventure Size 50 - excellent fit for a 13/14 wearer. Miles bigger than the BMW boots.
