Good to see more and more using Skype. Use it more than my landline now.
Cost wise, its about half the national rate to normal land lines and free to skype customers. Also bought a USB Telbox off ebay that lets you interface all your existing phones with skype so no need to sit at your pc to make and receive calls.
Little schematic showing how it works.

anyone know if the usb box works in Aus - similar phone system i understand :nenau

Pretty universal bit of kit originally made for the american market, cos it has RJ11 plugs fitted not the larger white pstn plugs we have here in the uk.. They are the tiny plugs used on american telephone system. Adapters are readily available at most electrical stores ( maplin type shops )
You could ask to be sure but pretty certain they will work.
Here is the link to the ebay item if you want to contact them

Voip buster is a good alternative to skype, 1cent/min to uk landlines, free to irish landlines etc etc, check the rates table,

ideal for those cross border business,

better still 'voipstunt' free calls to 39 countries landlines, including uk, ireland, france etc, some countries you might actually ring!!!

5Euros credit balance to start,

This should really be in the forum rant - I detest eBay sellers who put unrealistic postage prices on their items. It is just extra profit and bears no relation to the real cost of postage and packing for an item like that. £8.88 to post a small electronic box with a transformer? He's having a laugh - it will be £4 maximum to send that recorded delivery. I have a very simple policy of not buying from eBayers to take the piss like this.

Yes, but he's got to drive to the post office and stand in a queue of retards who'll try and mug him on the way out, so probably cheap all things considered. Or am I biased by Slough post office I wonder?
