slight change of plan

Visited a local dealer last sat discussed the options i wanted on my bike , turns out they did not have one in but had one due , about 4 weeks but thought they could get one sooner, great paid my deposit and off i went happy chap.

Had a call this morning , can't find one with the low 1st gear anywhere and the one i have orderd will be built mid end april for may delivery , thats not what you said sat is said i say , anyway cancled the order as i needed one quicker.

Long story short, called BVM who i bought my last one off and surprise surprise they have one availalble, due to be deliverd to me early next week in london .

Spec not identical , original was red with premium , dynamic packs and enduro pack. this one has the low first gear road tyres , premium pack and abs probably a better bet than the original order will save a few quid not having to change over the tyres to road ones.

Going to be a long wait till next week.

BVM appear to be good at this game - they yoinked mine from a delivery that was due to go to the Channel Islands and sit in a dealership and go no-where.

They did the same with my last one a year or so ago , I was toying with the idea of a 1200 gsa but could not locate any, happend to call them about selling a 1150 gsa i had bought , mentioned i was looking for a 1200gsa but could not find one .

They said to give then a time to make some calls and they rang me back in a few min and had the bike with me in a week.

As you say they seem quite good at it.

If you have bought a bike thats a complete nail it is a pain in the arse and it shouldn't have happened but spamming threads with negative comments isn't going to put anything right. At the end of the day apart from the gearbox issues and flat batteries a relay and an ignition aerial will see you thru near anywhere!!!
