Slipscreens Ltd screens.. anyone tried them?

Double screen.. whats the advantage there??

According to Givi it promotes a higher airstream so you get to have your helmet in still air while still being able to look over the screen rather than through it.

I'm not sure about the theory, but in practice it does seem to do what is claimed. I've had this system on three bikes now and it has always worked really well for me.

Do you have the Puig screen support brackets?

I can adjust mine up to about 60mph

I find I have the same issue on my GSA with the standard screen, no chance of moving the screen above 50 mph

Well you get used to it, and personally I think kind of suits the not very pretty, but rugged good looks of the GS!

yes.. I was going to add.. 'but let's look at the rest of the bike'.. as you say.. its not a work of art in the pretty depertment.. more agricultural.. and TBH, thats why I like them?

Mind you.. worst bike I've ever had to clean :(

Clean :yikes:yikes:yikes:yikes you are not supposed to ride in the rain or mud

With brackets screen is locked down also so no changing height unless stopped, safety first

The Puig ones don't lock the screen in any position - they work alongside (support) the original BMW ones. The original adjuster sets the height - no further adjustment/clamping needed.

I think they're quite clever.

Did not know that, so they just support the screen, that is cool, just gave me an idea with my Cymarc brackets, bolt through one side with locking nut, and have same effect, cheers for that sir...........:bow:bow:bow

Yup, no separate clamping etc - the only downside is the sat nav lock is slightly obscured by the left hand support.

The Givi airflow is absolutely brilliant by the way. The best screen I’ve ever had on bikes. On both my Suzuki v-strom and my Yamaha tenere. Just amazing. The science works. Still, quiet air and visor up at any speed. Just not exactly pretty but then I’ve never put them on any pretty bikes.

I was looking forward to getting one for the GS but they don’t make one. I messaged Fred about how he made his and then as it worked out I ended up with an MRA spoiler and a slipscreen instead. The mra is probably 90% of the Givi - but I think it’s a bit better looking and I’m happy with that trade off.
