Recently popped in to SLM to have a look around and ended up riding and buying a 1200GS!!!! I hope the rest of the business lives up to the excellent service from the sales dept. We shall see......................

I've been using them since Vines pissed me off 2 years ago. Similar story for a mate of mine, went to Vines for a test ride got the ride but no service there after. Wobbled down to SLM 5 mins later order form signed new GS1200 arrived 4 days later. That was 3 weeks ago he's now done 1100 happy miles.

I've been really pleased with the service I've received there since buying my 12. Big up to Darren in the spares dept, top bloke.

Agreed. They've always looked after me really very well. Compare and contrast with Battersea... 
Yesterday I popped into the show room on my way home. Returned to my bike to see oil dripping from the sump guard. The mechanics took it straight away. Changed the leaking sight glass. Saved most of the "new" oil ( the oil was changed only last week)- topped it up. Washed the bike and the sump guard and returned the bike within a hour. Good service and with a smile.

A former colleague of mine works as a mechanic at SLM. Phil is a good spanner monkey and he used to own a GS, so he knows them inside out. I bought my 98 GS from SLM and they're a great bunch (gissa job!)
