I'm having an enforced rest in Astana, Kazakhstan waiting and hoping the bike can be repaired quickly. Don't ask because I don't know!

It has given me a chance to catch up on the internet and blogging so here's the link. Not many pics yet I'm afraid but then long straight roads over flat countryside don't make for great images! I hope they will be more later. If I get there.

Hope the 'electrics' get properly sorted for you and very soon. :thumb

Enjoyed the blog ..... ride safe.

Ah, there you are. Was wondering where you'd gotten to ;)

Will read the blog later. In the meantime good luck with the repairs & ride safe :aidan

Just read through your blog - safe travels Peter!
Good luck with the bike too.

Hi Peter, just read your excellent blog.
So pleased to hear you're experiencing the wonderful hospitality of beurocracy:aidan

Keep yer chin up mate:thumb

Love the report, hope things bikewise improve quickly and you can get going again.

I wonder how Peter is getting on and if he got the bike fixed? :nenau

No updates on his blog yet either. :(

He's back on the road..

Had a text from Peter earlier in response to my query about how he was getting on :

Just xd into Kyrgystan. No net access recently. Blog all ready 2 go as soon as I do. Bike seems to be behaving. I now have the most xpensive battery. EVER ! Take care. P.

It's hard to keep a good (Irish)man down :aidan

Thanks for good news, worrying when he went off the air....but as you say, he is an Irishman Abroad ! More lives than a cat !

Just got to Osh after a couple of magic days in Arslanbob and the best homestay in the world. Bike still holding up though a topbox frame bolt has sheared so it's cable tie time. If that's the biggest of my problems I'll live with it.

Hope to start in Tajikstan on Mon/Tue and will try to upload more blog stuff :type soon.

Apart from one day in Bishkek and my first pass it has been warm and sunny in Central Asia. It's now hot.:aidan:aidan:aidan but I hear Tajikstan is cold and there's little petrol there:eek
