Small duck. Why?

Why does my new-to-me GSA have a small duck glued to it?

Should I remove it? Does it have a deeper meaning?

Imo I think Beak is best reply, however my 2 cents worth, a "Mascot". possibly borrowed from bath tub.

Some preferring a well endowed wobbly lady stuck on top of either the Clutch or Front brake master reservoir.

No. There is a fair amount of bikes with little mascots. Some cringey, some less/not.
Also, agree with above comments: beak.

But, to be fair, it’s nice (and very small). I’d keep it.
