Ive had 2 GS 1200 & 1 GS1250, all factory lowered with low seat. Plus lowering bobbins for the seat - at only 5foot 2, 28 inside leg you have to do all you can do!

With these enhancements the bike has been great - even taking it on mild TET in Spain.

My question, GS1300 with the suspension option (sorry I forget the specific name) of lowering at low speeds, how have the smaller population got on with this?
From conversations with BMW retailers there seems to be a suggestion that the 1300 is not as low as the GS1200/1250 & indeed there seems to be a suggestion that the Adventure is lower?! Really?

Im keen to appreciate how people are finding this lowering option for the smaller riders, any thoughts will be really useful - thank you.

Have you thought about visiting a dealer with a 1300GS that has that option and have a test ride. I'm a shortie too and like you had 2 1200s and a 1250 GS and found the Daytona M Star boots really helpful (they raise the heel by 25mm and the sole by 8mm) so a pair of these might help if the 1300 isn't quite low enough for your needs?

Hi Littleade - Ive not used Daytonas, although my wife does, mainly because Ive only ever had toe contact therefore the heel doesn’t make any difference.

Ok no probs, it was just an option that I thought could come in useful.

i have a rack , and a sledgehammer .
come on down , it won't hurt much , i'll do both legs at the same time , with the sledgehammer , pop you on the rack for 6-7 weeks .
how tall do you want to be ?
1 inch = 1 week on the rack .

Go to Motolegends, from memory they stock Daytona boots in narrow as well as a wide foot option. My Road Star GTX boots, have an adjustable Velcro section in the back, so that you could adjust the width of the calf area.

I find the 1300 with adaptive ride height about the same height as my previous 2018 1200 Rallye with the seat in low mode and suspension in auto.

Not sure if there's a low chasis option for it but you can definitely get lower seats and I've seen some mods to the seat to make it lower still.

as other suggested, I'd recommend testing one out... Maybe call ahead and see if they can arrange a low seat for you?

Sounds more like you need a trip to ORS and learn proper handling techniques.
One solidly planted foot is better than two barely or tiptoe and silly bad balancing.

I have the calf adjustment on both my M star and Road Star GTX boots and both are as EVskiy says available in different widths.

The pre versions are expensive though at £469 from Moto legands.

I recently bought my Roadstar GTXs from FC moto and with import duty and taxes they were £100 pound cheaper (though they're not the pro version) the duty was easily paid, I just paid it online once the boots had reached the UK before they were delivered.

I'd pay money, english money to see you stand next to @chad he's like 7'12" tall and makes a 1150 look like a moped....!

The rack is probably the best option so far!

Im interested in real life comparisons of GS1200 lowered compared to GS1300 (both with low seat) - in terms of height comparison.
Any experience?
