ever had the feeling you've been cheated
Does any know of a new modification to 1150GS of the addition of a small rubber block inside the cylinder cover? One popped out from somewhere when i took of the left hand cover(as you sit on the bike). It is a about an inch square thick rubber which is shaped to sit in/on something, but what??

Last time i took of the cylinder cover i never noticed it. Then had the valves done about a month ago by B*W. Took of the cylinder cover today and out it popped???

I dont have a photo.

TIA.

Just remove the cover and stick it back, it locates at the bottom of the cover. You may not have noticed it before as it normally just sits there, unless dislodged.

Maybe some kinf soul will post a piccie.

Is there one under the RH cover as well?

I did not have time to check yet. I have Hepco&Becker engine bars which makes it time consuming to undo and check. I plan to check tomorro, hoping that if there is it will stay in place as i take the cover off.

Thought i would ask this evening to see if anyone knew or had experience of it. Could also be something that should not be there and 'fell' in. I manage to knock some tiny stones into the oil plug as i was gonna top it up, which need removing and hence discovery of this 'thing'.

Hopefully a piccie this evening will show, otherwise i'll take Whattons advice and mine own thinking and check t'other side first.

It fits onto/into the bottom L/H corner of the L/H head ( R/H corner on the R/H head) -

It doesn't fit into the rocker cover .
