smart tips

While I was playing with my Quest last night, I found in one of the menus "Re-enable smart tips"

I did not know I had dis-abled them, What are smart tips? and how come it has taken me nearly a year to find them, I wonder if smart tips came in when I loaded a new unit software version?

I can't find it, I'm using firmware version 3.70

IIRC the smart tips pop up be default when the unit's new and you get a box asking if you want to carry on seeing them (like on a new PC prog) and at some stage you would have selected 'no'.......they get in the way and tey're menat for newbs to the unit

It came on for me when I ran webupdater at the weekend to put 3.70 on. So your theory holds water Keef. I got a tip about selecting stuff from a list with a 'dont show me again' checkbox, cant remember if that is the one that stops the lot.

Not got it with me today but I'll have a look tonight at home.

Kev,

The setting appeared in the route option menu. When I went back in a smart tip popped up, with the option to not show them again. tick the box goodbye tips
I had run webupdater to upgrade to 3.7 like Ian did.
