Ever since I've had my 1150GS the clutch has had a tendancy to get hot and smell - both in traffic and on a non-stop run. The first time it happened I took it to my dealer (SLM) fearing clutch slip. After a test they said it was quite normal for GS clutches to smell hot and it was not slipping.
So, anyone else suffer from a stinking clutch? Would a generous puff of clutch cleaner through the bellhousing hole have any beneficial or, more important, detrimental effects?
I have noticed that the GS clutch has the least 'feel' of any hydraulic clutch that I've used. Can anything be done about that?
TIA
