A few times now over the past month or so I've noticed that when I first start my bike up a small amount of fluid (looks like water) drips from the exhaust behind the control for the exhaust flap (area shown by red circle in the diagram), from around the brackets. It's always been after riding in the rain the day before and so put it down to some rain that trapped and then was shaken out due to the vibes of the bike. However yesterday I noticed the bike smoking (maybe steam) from this area for approx 1 minute, and the area looked damp. I haven't ridden in the rain for a while now. Therefore my guess it that it's either some condensation or something, is this normal, and if not any idea what could be causing the problem?

Same with my GS. It is normal, there is a small hole allowing to drop condensed water. If you are reving hard it goes to vapour. (sorryy for my bad english).

Hello,
Yep! Mine does that too, nothing to worry about, :thumb2 water vapour condensing on inside of cold pipe, gets pushed out by gas pressure, clears up when exhaust gets hot. Ride and enjoy!:thumb
