hi all i want smooth out bottom end whats the best way

acc module
decat headers
can

1 or 2 or go for all 3

please advise

thanks

Try the cheapest first....the accelerator module certainly made a difference on low end grunt and pick up on my 08 GS.

Make sure all the standard engine settings are correct, throttle body balance, valve clearance, etc before changing things. To be honest I suspect they all do it to some extent. :comfort

What year is the bike...? It's a common myth that you can just bung a set of headers on any GS without having the fuelling altered. From my experience, you can get away with that up to the '06 model year but from '07 onwards it's a bit more of an issue. There is a real danger that just fitting a set of headers will make the engine run much too lean. So, if you go down that route, be prepared to have the bike run on a dyno and the air-fuel ratios checked at the very least.

Nothing finer for soothing the bottom end.....

In that case, I'd be inclined to do the cheapest and simplest mod first. Fit and accelerator module and see if that does the trick.

I know. The little picture did serve to amuse me. Though I did hesitate to enter the website for fear of too many 'before'n'after' pictures from the judging panel.

I see that you didn't choose to refute the adult baby allegation, though....:augie

Acc module is cheap and may work. (It didn't for mine)
Removing the CAT will help and you won't need to adjust the fuelling as it will sort itself out no problem.
A new end can will just produce noise and nothing else

Your best way is a Power Commander 3 which will sort your bike out. Get it set up on a dyno and bobs yer uncle.

I'm a recent convert to the pc and have to say it's an incredible difference. I run with keihan headers and end can on my 06 ADV which really improve things but fitting the PC takes it to another level:thumb

Same here except I went with the Wunderlich Power Controller (Techlusion unit) as I felt it was simpler to use and did'nt need a dyno as it came with a fuel map for decat headers, K&N and Akra can which is what I have. Probably not as accurate as the PC/Dyno option but works for me.
