They're S*it. I had one fracture and brake in the car park as I got to work once - going into the building covered in petrol (it had run down inside my sleeves when I was stemming it and taking the tank off!) made me incredibly popular ... NOT

I got some lovely shiny ones from

http://www.beemerboneyard.com/cpcqkdiscon.html

They do a set for the adventure too

Go for the chrome/brass one's and damn the extra weight :JB.

Just coughed up £28 for a length of BM fuel hose for the Adventure's balance line between the 2x tank sides.
Thankfully, I am still in a good mood as the wife is in the mood as well this evening.

For the 8mm ID fuel hoses to the injectors, is there an alternative supplier / vendor?

BMW now supply metal male sections of Q/D connectors. Last one i bought was about £23ish.

Hi Johnno - how did these connectors work out? I want to fit some to my 1100 - tired of faffing around whenever I want to take the tank off.
cheers
Matt

Below is an amended reply I posted to MattW's thread about the same subject;

Try www.omega.co.uk for chrome brass plated QD fittings. I've just fitted them to my 1150GSA. You'll need the FT-LCD series fittings. There was considerable discussion on Advrider re. whether the standard O-rings were petrol compatible or needed replacing with viton versions. I called Omega and spoke to one of their engineers who told me the O-rings have been altered and are absolutely fine to use with petrol.

Part nos. that I ordered as below

1 x FT-LCD230-04
1 x FT-LCD170-04
2 x FT-LCD170-05
2 x FT-LCD220-05

The 05 suffix is for the 5/16" fittings for the standard fuel lines and should be the ones you need on the 1100. The 04 suffix is for the 1/4" fittings, which are only needed for the link pipe on the larger Adv tank. These are exactly the same as the OE fittings with the same shutoffs, just made out of metal, so should be less prone to breakage.

They cost me about £80 plus VAT for all 6 fittings.

Hope that helps.
