Hi All,

Just broke of the pipe that goes into the back of the right hand fuel injector on my 1150!

It was a simple case of incompetance...

It looks like I need to replace the whole pipe back to some central fuel pressure thingy - is that:

a. an easy job
b. any short cut ideas
c. not a job for an incompetant

What do people do when this happens in the wild?

Thanks

Wreford

I was reading a thread on ADVrider where they were using repair kits for that hose, getting them from fuel injection places, failing that have you considered splicing it together with a length of the rubber fuel hose and some clips ?

Doesn't look too expensive, at least...

Part No 1 is listed at $80 on Max BMW's parts fiche:Click

Wreford is it the bit circled in the picture?

Might be able to sort you out with the bit on it's own or might still have the whole item if any help.

Stu

It's a vulnerable point on 1150/1100s and unsuccesfully tried to make guards for them although you can get them for 1200s.

In foreign parts when kids are climbing all over the bike I'm always aware they may stand on it:mad:

Oooh nasty,
You could saw it off flush,
Drill and tap It 1/4" Bspt,
Screw in either a swageloc or a lancashire fittings pipe adaptor (1/4"BSPT to
**Your ,Pipe diameter**) and clamp It up.:beerjug:

Just a thought anyhow.
Bez.
