Snow Forecast. Michelin Anakee 3 or Anakee Wild?

Unfortunately the only car i have access to is the one my wife and i share (well, she drives it and i pay for it :D ) and thats a rear wheel drive Merc, which struggles to move forward without wheel spinning on damp roads, never mind snow !!

What you need is a set of tall skinny winters on the rear on a set of cheep steel rims - you will probably find that it will go anywhere (except round corners)

I'm no expert, ridden the 800 and 1200 in snow covered roads around the bizarres.

If it's laid thick, no Tarmac rubber blocks tyre only viable option with studs, it will still move around, feel thick when steering but holds well. Its safe also to ride on the " odd "bit of Tarmac.

If light covered Tarmac with odd bit then road tyre will suffice but carefull on full patch of snow will hold no grip.
Depending on rider ability if the option have the bike in enduro mode and let it move around a little ( whilst trying to observe other roads users, pedestrians etc!)

Again more experienced guys on here..

Alternate could be mega safe and pull a sticky..

..

Got a link, mate? I'm looking for GPS routes around the bizarres for a trip in 2019 with 15 mates and ain't got time to do it me self. Digs, too. Got to be biker friendly as don't do foreign and we need secure. A weather certainty is a must and I can see it snows here, so you never know.

Staying a home and wanking yourself off is certainly an option. Wouldn't describe it as mega safe if the Mrs walks in and catches you however. :D

Rode through some sudden snowfall a few years ago coming back to Calais and had TKC 80s on the bike which coped quite well. :thumb

I've been waiting years for snow down south. I'm ready but I'll be in my Disco.

Wish I could say the same. Sat here in London watching the rain and hoping it won't turn to sticking snow.

Avon Trailriders on my GSA, and found them awesome in Dry & Wet (compared to Anakee 3 (similar), PR4 (never got on with them) and TKC70 (not confidence inspiring, but in all fairness didn't let go in anything thrown at them on/off road)..........guess I should give them a snow review, but perhaps not on the M25, let alone the A & B roads! Oxfordshire suddenly seems a long way away!

On my bike on my way home tonight I'll be waving to bikers and 4x4 drivers apparently tonight.

Sorry, I don't use GPS on the travel only small Etrex for emergency, maps and luck.
Latest was mid Europe then up to Poland,Lithuania last winter..

Norway ,Atlantic highway 2014, epic.. used the stove couple nights to get the oil warmed up! Wouldn't recommend till late spring.

Mostly camp or have friends along route, nothing ever planned.
Sorry not more help.
