I drove back from Blackpool tonight and came back via Teesdale. The road was covered in snow and ice, we had to take turns getting down hill as the the cars were just sliding down the hills from a standstill. I was actually pleased not to have abs as I don't think the car would have stopped:eek:

It's not even full on winter yet:(

Hope you made it back safe and sound but hopefully this downturn in the weather will continue for some time. Given i'm in the accident repair business, the recent run of dry weather has not been good for trade. Sometimes I think i'm the only person who actually prays for bad weather. Sad I know but true all the same.

Plenty business for you on the A1, Western Bypass this morning..

:beerjug:

I'm sick of being cold, spending twice as long cleaning the bike as riding, scraping ice off windscreens, wearing 4 layers, filling washer-bottles, thinking it's the middle of the night when it's only 8 o'clock...

:rob

Big snow in Leeds

Went out this morning and bought a Trials bike, pick up Sat

Nothing can stop me now:augie

I drove home from Liverpool tonight, one lane of the M6 was closed through Cumbria because of a snow drift.....:blast

Praise the Lard!

It's almost midnight and the temperature is above freezing.... might just jog down to the coast for a skinny-dip....

.....or get another beverage frm the fridge..

:nenau

I nipped out to the post office this morning, got about half a mile and came across a BT van stuck in the snow. As it is a single track lane I reversed back up the lane. You know how when you reverse it's never in a straight line:( had to walk back to the house and get a shovel to dig the car out:mad:

Bloody winter.
