I swapped my Adv seat for a GS one a year ago. Since then, I never had occasion to take the seat off. In Sept I went to the States for 6 months and now that I am back, I need to charge the battery on my dead bike.

Umm, I've forgotten how to get the front seat off.....

I've tried a bit of brute force but don't want to break anything.....

Just turn the key - once to remove the rear seat, take the rear seat off, then turn the key again to release the front seat.

oh well, it seems so obvious now

Sorry Snodog , when you went in to make coffee, I just glued the seat to the frame rails with superglue. Thought you would never notice.
