So Do Ya think Maybe possibly ........

This may be an unpopular thought which is unusual for me but anyway....dropped exhaust valves are caused by running a lean mix, popping from the exhaust on over run is caused by running a lean mix,all new bikes have to run lean to pass euro 3,when you alter the exhaust you get even leaner,an end can makes little difference,a decat and end can will, the best way to kill your engine, any engine,is half arsed home tuning and shitty supermarket fuel, the best thing you can do leave standard and run vpower,if you want more then fit a pcv and autotune before anything else, the acc mod will not stop you going bang,a pcv with a/t will always give you the right mix at sea level or in the alps,oh and two stokes go bang when you close the throttle because you also stop the oil getting in,always blip the thottle on down changes to squirt some lube in...

Yes I agree about Lean running but these bikes have 2 lamda probes one in each exhaust to correct fuel ratios, they have an Air density probe in the air intake and a Knock sensor on the heads! its the schitty programing and the resulting lean burn that lets them down. I mean Enrich the mixture and get more fuel economy **** me the Greenies will be having kittens if that ever gets out!

As to 2 strokes There should be enough oil vapour in the Transfer chamber and ports to allow it to make a corner after shutting the throttle without spilling it's guts
Most seizures I remember from my karting days were just prior to shutting the throttle at the end of the straights especially on the 100 national class thats why the drivers covered the carb to flush fuel in to help cool it QUICKLY

ANd Not Being a Cnut Elefantman but hit the return key at the end of sentance instead of teh comma and break yer post up a wee bit please it is kinda hard to read in one big long line Perhaps you are on a mobile doing the reply if so Beg yer Pardon

Nope Don't Agree So Remus Is home tuning?? K & N ??? These companies spend a fortune researching the bikes and profiling thier product for specific models

Buyer beware, remus,k&n ect make good stuff but it's down to end user to get tune right its part of the job but not the whole kit,2 stoke advice from an old guy at grampion in my lc youth and served me well, thanks for the typing tips!

Yep - that's exactly when my RD's used to nip - after a long full throttle straight - heat rather than lube related.

Two strokes 'going bang' on a closed throttle is more likely to be crank bearings karking due to high revs and lack of lube - coasting downhill at speed on a closed throttle is a favourite (don't coast in gear - dip the clutch).
