So do you need to be 6ft+ for a GSA

We were at Devils Bridge a while back, and the 1200GSA Linda was stood next to looked about as tall as her to the top of the tank.(It was on the centre stand). She's about 5'8", with 'short legs' as she puts it. A couple of weeks later down at AJ's, we were both surprised to find she could get both feet (balls of) down on the GSA. That put a :D on her face!*

I'd go for it if I were you.

Dave.

*I'll just have to make sure I talk her in to getting the 1150GSA when her restriction is up...:augie

I'm 5'11" /32" inside leg.I was more comfortable on my GS12 with the Cast Wheels and the Std seat on Low Setting. However,i now have 17" Wheels on the Bike and the seat on the High Setting.A decent Dealer will have a Demo Bike for you to try,get them to set the seat on the Low setting and try it.It's easy enough to raise the setting while you are out and you'll get the feel for which set up suits you best.I know it sounds obvious, but wear the kit that you would expect to wear if the bike was your own.You will really get the feel for how it suits you.

A lot of good advice on here but the only real solution to your dilemma is to book a test drive and try for yourself. You can then make an informed decision based on your own personal experience.

GSA seat height

Well Mango Jim,
I'm same height as u and have had GSA for nearly two years.I had few problems with height of standard seat but u get used to it after a while.Just be carefull where u park(that u dont have to try and reverse bike by tip toe). The seat height on the GSA 1150 is non adjustable unlike the GS1150 or GSA1200.I got a lower saddle from a friend who was way taller and it made huge difference but not as comfortable.Keep an eye on e-bay for them or price one from a dealer. It can be bit intimadating at first but stick with it.
John.
