So I stopped in the Harley Store...

Try putting the stock seat on and riding it for 7-8 hrs. Then you'll be glad of your Corbin seat, or in my case, Wunderlich.
Something the original owner never discovered though!

You’re probably right. The best thing I can say about my Corbin is riding 12 days, pretty much continuously, I never thought about the seat. I did have Corbin raise the front a bit when they make it.
No the original owner didn’t. I understand last year he traded a 2011 GSA with well under 1,000 miles in on this 2012. I understand he's like this with cars too.

If you imagine a tool chest in front of your front wheel, a door immediately behind your rear wheel, a small modelling lathe close to the right side of the bike and a wall tool rack close to the left side with no walking space either side- well, you are now in my shed! :D

Sounds like a convenient place to work Jay, everything in reach!

You could say I like it:D 88,000 miles so far, across the US once and 3 times to Alaska so i guess we've bonded:thumb

Nice! Now I feel guilty not having done Alaska yet. I’ve ridden through the lower 48 states, except Texas somehow, and Canada’s adjoining provinces, except Manitoba. Need to do Texas, Alaska, and Manitoba. Then maybe Mexico, NZ, England or Ireland in the future.

Nice GSA, Nice Glide, Nice Garage....but....and let's get down to detail....what's the red ped in the corner??? There is a fashion here for Mobylettes at the mo...:thumb2

Are you Merkens allowed 2strokes??

Thanks! That's a Honda CT90 which I really need to get to work on. I've been saying this for 5 years though.
Still selling a few new off-road only 2-strokes. Other than 49cc scooters I don't believe there have been any newer street legal 2-strokes sold here for years. Older 2-strokes which were legal here at their time are OK now but it's very rare to see one on the road anymore.

We'll be going to Alaska again in July. You'd be more than welcome to join us be we aren't going via Texas.......:D

Talk to Envirofit. They sell conversion kits for old strokers (125cc to 250cc). They might sell parts so you can cook your own conversion.

Double drat! Thank you for the invite I may have taken you up on your offer. But I just had to cancel my ride to the BMWMOA rally in Oregon because a family obligation requiring I need to be around home July 20-30th.

And me too.
Love the bike also.

There's a bike in the photo?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I can't see past the garage!!! :green gri

Let's face it, in general Brit house builders do not cater for our garage requirements very well.

Who needs that massive kitchen, four bedrooms (two with ensuite), two reception rooms, dining room, kids playroom, conservatory, summer house.......? Oh yeah......SWMBO :blast

No carpets in the garage, what is the world coming to? Though I guess it's heated and air conditioned if only to stop the Harley from rusting.

I did the same.R100GS got smashed in a crash. My gloves got trashed too.Bought a R100RT.1 and went into BMW shop for a new pair and came out with a R1150GSA.:blast Oh! They gave me the gloves.

Not just Brit. Do you all ever watch those “home buying shows” on TV? The wifey has them on sometimes and I just scratch my head watching the buyers insisting on “granite” counter tops, “stainless” clad appliances, and an “open area for entertaining”. When the garage is, by far, the most important thing.

It does have HVAC, to keep the Harleys from rusting. The previous owner built the room on to the car garage to be his hobby shop and place to store his classic car. It also included a small living area above. When we looked at the house the wife felt it would make a great dancing studio  but I saw the real potential. All I needed to do was cover the bare concrete to make it lighter and easy to sweep. I will admit to enjoying spending time in there, especially this time of the year.

So you can really live in the garage! SWMBO just thinks I live in mine, it might have carpets but the eating and sleeping facilities are, well, non-existent.

I only glad your GS doesn't have carbon wheels and a full Akro system like Ding Dong's, so I don't have to kill myself.

It amazes me how they turn down perfectly good houses because the bathroom tiles are the wrong colour or the place is untidy.

But the other stuff sounds fair enough. Keep her happy with domestic bling and keep him happy with a posh garage. Sadly we have neither though my ex Mrs did well enough with "what's hers is hers and what's mine is ours". >:(

what we need to ask is, has anyone gone into a dealer for a bike and come out with spark plugs/gloves etc

6 pager, at least

Please, if you don't mind me asking, how much was the Corbin seat, and does it lower the height at all?

What a great bike and what a bargain - this is the time of the year to get these deals.

done the same.
went in for oil filter for my R65 and came out with new R1100RT,, A mate who was with me bought an R1100RT as well...
