All day today, we've had Harleys riding through town, on their way from Lincolnshire's 'do' to the ferry here in Harwich.
I stopped and had a chat with a couple of Dutch guys outside the Cafe next door to me.....nice guys, very laid back and seemed to have enjoyed themselves, which is nice....they made a fuss of my dog too, and the very fact that she let them is a VERY good indicator that they were nice blokes
I nodded and said 'Hi' (or variations of that down to a cursory nod and an unintelligible grunt) to a load of others as well, and recieved the same back.....Not a single rocker visible, though lots of assorted badges and leather.
We all take the piss out of the 'Twat suit', and that's fair enough...Timolgra wears one
But amongst ALL of the Harley riders I've seen today, all bar three had beards, and their bikes had loud pipes.
The three who didn't had lumpy jumpers.
Was the dress code obligatory this weekend, or do foreign Harlet riders conform to the uniform more than our home bred ones?
I don't actually care by the way.......and not one of them in town today came across as having any sort of bad attitude, so I'm not judging either, but it did seem that the guys coming through our sad little port town today were FAR more Homologinic than you'd see at, say, a 'Tosser's do'

If I added a poll to this question, I wonder what proportion of the reprobates in this bar would be bearded and loud
