Bl**dy weather!
Bl**dy drivers!
Bl**dy single track roads!
Bl**dy Wet Suits!

. . . so where to start?

How about wearing out my rear Tourance 2 weeks ago without noticing till I got home. Ouch!
Wondered why it wriggled through the S bend up Glen Devon.

Thought I'd try Sport Smarts for a change. That's better.

Maybe flattened them off on the A9 / M9 today though as I was keeping it pretty upright all day. Maybe a few laps of Knockhill on the 23rd will scrub them in a bit??

Planned a night away up North last night on the strength of last weekend's forecast saying Tuesday and Wednesday would be fine. The weather forecasters lied!! Got up past Ullapool on Tuesday in the dry then caught a few showers round the top left corner of Scotland, where I'd never been before. Never crossed this wee bridge before:

Or saw this nice beach:

Or saw this nice view with the road in the distance I was about to follow:

Then stopped the night on the A9 south of Thurso (nice B&B).

And today it rained. And rained. And rained. All the way home. 250 miles in the pishin' rain. So fast as possible down the A9 instead of a leisurely bimble down past Tomintoul, Braemare, etc. Drummochter Pass was as damp as it could be, breezy too at times:

Made good time though. 57 average according to Mr. Zumo. Probably mph and mpg

+ what's with all these drivers who can't pass / won't pass when they get stuck behind a slow moving vehicle like a truck or a camper van??

+ what's with all these driver who won't switch their lights on when it's pissing down and you can't see beyond your bonnet??

+ what's with all these drivers on single track roads that think they don't have to use a passing place "as it's only a bike coming and he can squeeze by". Real tossers :tosser

+ By The Way - don't go anywher near Tongue as the bridge is closed and the detour is a F*****g nightmare of a wee track with grass growing along the centre line in places and a wee biddy had missed a passing place and brought the place to a standstill as she couldn't reverse her car off the grass verge, so a bobby had to do it for her to let the long tail back clear. FFS shouldn't be allowed out.

+ who can recommned a wet suit that is actualy a DRY suit and now a WET suit. My erse was rather damp when I got home.

Good wee run though, 600+ miles :thumb2

Yes. Staying with my German relatives in Beauly for the week. Their comment "I didn't think it was possible to rain the whole day and night without stopping".

Got 600miles to do next week. Hope it improves by then. Forres to Skye via John o'Groats.

Been there with the wet Ärsche syndrome on the A9. You must have a Hein Gericke suit too?
