Decided to have a bit if an outing this morning and stop for lunch...:D

Prior to leaving home I thought I'd check the clutch adjustment, not for any particular reason as it was performing well, being really smooth etc etc.

Out with the lolly stick ( 201 mm one of course ) to measure the gap between the casing and the crescent moon on the actuator arm. Id had a gap of about 1500 mm to much cable , so promptly decided to adjust it to gain the correct 201mm +/- 1 mm or so.

Annnnnyway....

I'm now pretty much where I was after screwing the actuator arm adjust screw all the way in, I only gained about half a turn but the lever free play is pretty much spot on but ( and here's the but) no adjustment left on the screw, its butted up right to the none threaded part.
Up to the lever next, I had to adjust the lever screw what seems like all or most of the way out leaving an exposed thread amount of 1700 mm , so can't be much left to bring out any further in future if needed ? :nenau

It seems I'm right on the limit of both adjustments, but the clutch is spot on as is the gear box, all very smooth etc.

Question is:

Does this mean the clutch is getting towards the end of its useful life or is there another method / methods to free up more adjustment as and when required ? :blast

I should add clutch bites about 1/2 way to 2/3 out from the bars.

my advice is take up gardening its cheaper and you wont end up breaking something

My banning order doesn't allow me the use of gardening tools, unless its miniature stuff like bonsai trees, and then only under supervision from my carer. :D
