Maverick, myself and I believe Bambam are all in the bare frame rebuild process and looking into strengthing the frames of our respective 80G/S's.

Any good threads/articles on this subject.

Cheers

So far looks like for liliths bike we will brace the head stock area and next to the gear box around the swing arm piviot points. and if we extend the mono swinging arm a brace for that as well, the question is will it be a Richie Moor extended swinging arm and shaft (@ 75mm) or the HPN(@100mm).:nenau or do I make a jig and do the SA myself and have a shaft made?

I hope to make the brakets myself and have dicided to Tig rather than Mig
so a good friend will tig for me as I can't....:mmmm

I'm sure I read on here that somebody had a jig for a 100mm extended swinging arm.

Thanks for that gents I'll get some templates sorted and give Sycho a call.

Wonder what a jig would cost to make?

Richard Moore - Moorespeed

I got a 80gs swing arm with + 50mm in by Richard
if you want one doing get a price from him

100mm will make the bike f'ing tall when combined with the longer front forks. I'm 6ft and I can't touch the floor that well with 100mm rear swing arm added.I've had a 50mm extension in mine which will give me plenty of extra suspension movement without the daft seat height.
