So what would £2791 buy you...

I have heard that garmin will be sending out new software to bmw so the zumo 660 will work ok with the new lc. That could be more dosh then.

That's what the head honcho at my local dealership told me this week.

Spent some time last Sunday swapping over the bmw mount for the garmin one on my TE, the connector has only three wires, power, ground and the canbus wire which is pretty impressive.

The only down side I can see is, the speech/audio needs to be via Bluetooth. Which I hate!

I'd pay for a firmware version to take the zumo to the same level as the nav 4 so i can use the wheel but I guess I'd have to go back to Bluetooth :-(

Can't have everything I guess!

Any more detail would be welcome!

oh dear... that can't be right? - A backward step for sure.

I don't use BT for headsets, the batteries don't last long enough... then you have charge them (ugh). Eventually the battery doesn't last as long as it used to, then IME the sound isn't as full or good as an autocom.

No charging, one wire, always works and ready to go, every time.

Exactly my point :thumb2
