So what's DavyF buying???

WooHoo !

Vincent Black Shadow? :augie

Not as old, but equally iconic. :thumb

I've always said I regretted selling my '95 Honda VFR750, so I happened upon this gem. A '97 FV (the last of the greatest viffers) with a mere 13.6k on her.
I was going to go for something like a Fazer 600/1000, but when I spotted the VFR, well, a deal just had to be done.

So, it's being picked up on Wednesday and hopefully delivered to my place sometime this Friday. :bounce1

The top pic is my '95 viffer which had a few nice subtle mods and I guess I'll do my best to recreate them on this newer bike. :)

Nice one Davy :thumb You might need to ditch the trim tape though :ymca

BTW - did you just get bored with the whole GS thing? :nenau

Yes, that's the first thing I'll be doing when I get my grubby mitts on it. :thumb

No, I was just standing in the garage and was taking in the MX5, the GS and SWMBO's car and thought that there was a terrible amount of money tied up in the GS. I know that next year, we'll be using the MX5 together more (she doesn't like bikes and was only out once this year) and it seemed a bit of a waste to have this cracking bike not getting the use it really needs. So decision made and she's gone. As for the VFR, I'll enjoy stripping it over the winter and 'doing my thing' with it. :D

Fair enough Davy - it'll be nice to have some acceleration again :D

Ehglish is not his strong point......much like the finish on his boxes !

To be correct, you'd have to say "More's the pity" as in "More is the pity" but that couldn't be correct as it's wrong. I'm sure most of us are always sad to see Davy go......:hug

He's just an eejit, Mike. :tosser I never take anything he says seriously anyway. :blagblah

More like "PRATANOIA"

I'm a lucky Tosser, because unless you quote the Demented Hobbit, I don't see his posts..
The ignore feature is a wonderful thing to be sure :aidan

Och no - you miss out on part of life's rich panoply that way. We might think that other people are strange, odd or even completely bonkers but inevitably there are reasons for the differences between the way we think they "should" be and the way they really are.

To quote my late mother...."A'body's queer but thee an' me an' even thee's a bit queer...." :)
