So what's wrong with the stock 1150GS?

negotiate with SPC ??? you're 'avin' a larf ? - they don't negotiate - its hard enough getting them to talk to you !!

sorry sir - thats the price - we can sell 'em all day long.

having said that - you'll get a bit out of them for an 1100, but not an 1150 - unless you've got a trade-in that you've underpriced.

Phil

Thanks, Judge. Been to look at SPC site - looks good. Location is a stretch for me, but if they can do it, so can other dealers. Their choice and prices look better than any dealers in my neck of the woods.

Cheers

I bought mine there - quite a stretch into Jane Austen country from here - seem a good bunch although Ron (the Boss?) doesn't get back to you when he says he will and you end up chasing.... otherwise have been good.

Know what you're buying at SPC

Some of their used stock is sourced from the EU, mainly Germany. If you buy make sure the lights dip the right way and the speedo reads in mph (essential come mot time). Other than that give em, a whirl!:moped:

SPC (which admitedly isn't on your doorstep, or mine!) have a good range of GS's, some of which reflect close to my originally quoted 'ball park example'

I reckon you should get a black one.....:D :D :D

Questions: Colour ? Brakes, servo. Money....

Only one answer : get a RED one I mean after all Marakesh RED. Express to RED seems a bit obvious. Servo ha shervo, wervo shammyho, get a cable. There ya go QED get a R1100GS - jobs a good un.

For goodness sake whatever avoid a snot/puke whanderine, shanderine, tangerine

There are a few types of mandablim...
Lets face it these are pretty ....

I have contacted the biking press and the photographers booked for the tyre kicking at SPC. So watch the press. I dare say an article will follow "man seriously hurt by yellow fruit hail storm in a car park"

Can't remember exactly, but they were seriously in the majority....more tarts handbags than mandarin/silver/graphitan/black combined.

Rare my arse!!

A bloke here at work reckons a black one is better than anything in other colours. Then again be's biased and he knows f*ck all about bikes.... but loves Disco....

He also says they are bigger..........

Nah - it's just that us owners of the Blue & Whites aren't embarrassed by the colour scheme and are happy to venture out in daylight hours. It's because they stand out from the crowd that they appear to be in the majority - the others just pale into insignificance when near the blue & white.

And as has been discussed previously, the blue & whites are faster - Scientifically proven (well the Prof said so).

Bloody hell - yer worship on an oilhead - who'd a thot it ?

IMHO. speedos are not a part of MOT other than recording distance recorded.
