I have created a fresh thread.

Richard

==================

Just spoken too a very nice lady at the Red Lion...
Did you email in last night...lol...

All bookings are via pitch up as they are the booking place for stays..she does not know at the time how many are left..
Food if going as a big group,..they would like numbers for food....plus what we would like...
Six Nations on the TV all weekend...

Edit…..

Red Lion has now been dropped, in favour of the Seven Stars.

Richard

I have just called the 7 Stars at Wool and yes they can accommodate us there are electric pitches no problem and no problem with the restaurant plenty of space
its a very easy going site with good access I have been there many times please let me know what you think and I will get back to them

Looks like the tents are good to go, just go to get the boxes to move lol

The 7 stars sounds easier, as we don't need to go via a booking site

However we need to make a decision pretty quickly

Looks like the pub do brekkies but you need to book, are we carrying over the same format,
Friday BBQ, Saturday meal?

Brekkies supplied tosser style

Ok I'm in, staying in the tent as previously agreed.

Food for Friday night, and hoping to munch on Don's sausage on Saturday evening.

Breakfast both days, cooked by my lovely handmaiden Richard

Just for clarity do we need to book directly or is the lovely IanK handling things?

Any chance someone can send me the contact details, as it appears that there is more than one 7 stars in the area

I found the correct one, and booked in. Arrive Fri leave Sun
Still have the BBQ and fire pit with me

I will hop on the bike and ride over and confirm with Gill as regards the rugby game I do have a tv and with the wifi I can get the game but i will check with the other 2 pubs if they have a tv lounge I have told her to expect 6 or 7 tents and around the same for camper vans they are very laid back turn up and the field is around the back the water tap is on the left just as you enter the field for those wanting to fill up

See? Nuggety southerners shrug off setbacks to get the show back on the road. The phoenix from the firepit, as it were.

I suspect I'll be coming down on Saturday morning now. (Camping Saturday evening).

Thanks Richard for organising this change of lanes. Thanks Ianak for liaising with the Seven stars, and also Crumbles for spotting the Red Lion option.

For simplicity should we stick with the original plan, ie restaurant Friday, braai Saturday?

Cheers,

Paul
