Soft Shandy Drinkers, take two - 21/22/23 February 2025

Well that was fun! Big thanks to those who arrived in cars/vans and brought all the stuff the stuff you can't easily bring on a bike, but which makes it all a bit more comfortable.

BBQs, chairs, fire pit, wood... all that and more. A fine team effort.

As ill-conceived events go, this was a cracker. I hope everyone had a safe journey home.

A top weekend, or rather evening for me, good to put faces to names and pseudonym's :)

Apologies for bailing early last night, I really felt like shit. Since getting home I’ve downed a lemsip and had a steaming hot shower and feel human again, probably gonna crash out on the sofa now. Thanks all for saving the day with the last minute change of venue.

Back safe and sound and even managed to get Mrs Toddy to the Airpoort on time so have earnt some extra Top Husband points.

Good to catch up again with a few old tosser acquaintances, and lovely to meet some many new folk and put names to faces.

Great weekend, really enjoyed the humour and banter and although Friday night was a bit damp, the rest of the time there was great.

Special mentions have to go to:

Wapping for building an outdoor kitchen a restaurant would have been proud of. How the hell that all fitted into the “winter Porsche” is beyond me!
Don - the only Scottish South African I know ;-) always an education watching that man cook on an open fire. Your sausage is still the best, and sorry your team lost out in the end!
Thanks to both of you for your excellent catering efforts.
Ian - for pointing us at short notice in the direction of a great venue with a very sound landlady - wasn’t she a star!
Martin and Cookie - for having the tents big enough to put a circus ring in
Everyone else for being excellent company, and apologies from me for bailing a bit early last night - I wasn’t feeling great and just hoping I haven’t picked up Pukkie’s nasty bug!

Look forward to a slightly warmer repeat in the summer

Your only jealous, that I had a tent ⛺, and not a micro pod,, with a proper bed, pillows and a feather sleeping bag, 😁👍
