Software for downloading U Tube Videos

Can anyone recommend software for downloading and recording to your computer U Tube videos.

Is this "free software" safe

Even easier....

Simply add the word 'keep' to the address as per below:

"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnAZGsXEA9A&feature=rec-HM-rev-rn"

becomes

"http://www.youtubekeep.com/watch?v=YnAZGsXEA9A&feature=rec-HM-rev-rn"

You will then have the choice to download the movie in any format youtube has on it.
