Solar battery charger

I had one years ago and it was absolutely rubbish. The power in hem is just so small. It says it is 1.5Watt which used against 12V would give you about 0.12 Amps to charge your battery. You would be there for days in the desert let alone the UK. I'd go for an optimate or a Lidl special at £12 when they are in the shops (about 2-3 times a year). Better still take it for a spin out;)

PS Your Airhead is delicious and yet again you have found a great bike... lucky man.:thumb2

I use a cheap ebay one to keep the battery topped up on my boat, its about a foot square and the battery is always fully charged when I go there, remember to leave airspace underneath the panel if mounting it on a roof othewise they overheat and pack up.

My little solar charger turned up from Maplins and this morning when I went out to the R80 it didnt quite have enough to start it so I wired in the charger.
30 minutes later and the battery spins it over like a good un.
Great little bit of kit for £22 delivered.

What a pity I burned it out by forgetting to disconnect it before starting the bike
