Some bloke dropped this off at my place the other day.....

I'm enjoying tinkering with the new to me Road King. So far it's a had a set of Carlini apes, and I've had to fit a new docking system and get a sissy bar and rack (again!) The police seat will be going on soon. Flipfly recommended some tasteful ... LED saddlebag run/brake lights which have been fitted, along with a set of LED headlight and passing lights. (why do they advertise these as "plug and play" and then not include the £1 worth of harness that you need??

I'll take some pics if and when the sun comes out. (y)
Sounds good Si. Looking forward to the pics.

Come a long way from the vn1500 👍
Hi Will, you ok? What are you riding now? Still got the Intruder?

I wouldn't say I have come a long way as I still prefer the V twin cruisers but, that said, a few bikes have come and gone since we last spoke.

I’m ok just moved back from Isle of Man I’m still riding v twin Harley street bob 2017 , had Africa twin z1000sx but prefer Harley 👍

Looks good Si. I'm not into white walled tyres but they suit the bike.

Ta. They probably won’t survive the next tyre change……(.however, they are Dunlops which means the tread at least will probably outlast the rest of the bike!)

Came in handy did those saddlebag lights on my Spain trip, the LED bulb I had in the rear light shook itself to pieces so the only lights I had were the saddlebag lights.

I’ll be investing in a proper LED read light at some point because wedge bulbs (especially red ones for the smoked rear lense) are impossible to find when in Europe.

Good lord! are you suggesting I should actually read the thread? :bakerman:
I have no idea how you expect me to respond to that other than...it's a forum...it's all about reading...provided you are able.

Very nice bike and it is clear to see that you are smitten by it, as I would be.

Well done on getting a bike that you so obviously love. (y)

I had the one I loved, but it was taken from me....But I shall find the next love of my life, it is just a matter of time.

It is truly uplifting to see someone so obviously loving their bike.:beerjug:

The first RK I owned had Dunlop's which lasted for 12k miles with plenty of tread left. I changed them for Continental's following a recommendation.
I couldn't believe the difference, they completely transformed the bike and I've put them on each Harley I've owned since.

And a very nice bike you have there Si.👍

I was out on it yesterday, taking advantage of some late summer sun in between f*ckin’ monsoons. You can tell the whitewalls are Dunlops due to the sphincter palpitations every time you ride over tar snakes or similar. They have to go! 😉🤣👍
