1150 bits

Hi Chunk ,can you do any big stuff like top boxes, i want a large top box to bolt straight on a 1150 gsa 2004, but would sit half way over the pillion seat, and heres the clever bit, i want it on car seat runners so i can slide it back and forth in order to carry a passenger or not, and also make it easy to remove, just lift the handle and it slides off, good idea.????
The concept was born because i wanted to make the bike slimmer at the rear , to get through the traffic, having touratwit panniers, sorry wardrobes on the rear, taking up half the road, doesnt really appeal, and turns a bike into a car.also the other idea was to use a chinese style laundry bag to plop straight in the box , so taking clothes into a hotel is easy.
Many thanks Paul :thumb2

Any Chance of an update on where you are with production?:)

I realise from several pages back that you are busy, but there is a lot of interest here and those of us with money to spend are itching to know :thumb

oil cooler cover

Santa has bought me an oil cooler cover....:) Can anyone advise or instruct on its fitting...:mmmm:nenau

Oil cooler

Sorry cant help, ive only fitted them to 1150's. That involves removing screen headlight surround etc then just slotting it in. Cant be that different on the 12 though.

Fitting the oil Cooler Guard is something like this -

If you have the standard GS there are a few less screws to take out, also depends whether you have the extended beak too.

Take out the four screws on each side and remove the front tank side panels.

There is another screw underneath/inside the side panel that will be clearly visable when you take the side panels off. Put you head down near the forks and look across to the inside of the panel opposite!

Remove that screw on both sides and the whole front section will come off.

From there remove the two fixings that hold the oil cooler on and slide the cover over the cooler.

Pass the zip ties through the slots in the cover and tighten.
Screw the oil cooler back in place and re-assemble the beak. You will probably find that you only need loosen the screws for the oil cooler - it won't go far 'cos of the feed pipes!

Shout if you need further info.

Hi Chunk,
just to let you know they arrived less than an hour ago and are not all fitted to the bike. They look good to!, not sure whether to leave them as they are or paint them black. Will leave them be for now and see how they grow on me.

Many thanks,

Hi Chunk,
Just wondering... do you offer any kind of warranty on this stuff? I've just noticed that after only 3 months (non-offroad) use - one of the Aux Light housing has started to come apart - the metal case has split apart along the top fold where they bolt to the bike.

Let me know if there are any pics or other info I can send you to help you work out what to do.

Thanks in advance.

John Hudson
