Some of my back story and hopes for the future

I've done a fair bit over the years, always seemed to get suckered into 'events' for charity, more often than not the 3 National Peaks (twice with friends from here in 2003 and 2008) but done some of the Welsh 3000s and plenty in the Lakes. I'd like to do loads more up in Scotland and now we live back in the UK I shall put that plan into action. I generally travel pretty light but with essentials, often in shorts even when it is pretty cool (my thinking being that if it is showery, wet legs dry quicker than wet trousers) and my No1 rule is that I WILL turn back if the weather/feeling is not good. The hills will be there for another day.

(Our old friend Dennis RIP, gamely came on both UKGSer 3 Nationals, plodded at his own pace but we all made it, set off together, on the tops together, back down together)

A UKGSer hike could be arranged for next year, hike and camp over a few days

It'd have to be a static camp for me, no way could I lug a full camping set up on my back....lightweight day sack for me (Obviously if a big strong fellow wished to carry my kit for me, I'd do a 'tour'...) But yes, I'd be up for that....

We have just the job for you

We dump our camping stuff with you and just carry our day kit, you go to the campsite we aim for and see you there.
Next day we leave our packed tents, sleeping bags etc with you while you have a lie in, and we meet you at the next camp later that day lol
