Somebody to fit a rear shock to an 04 GS near to Fareham

Hi all, I'm down here for a few more weeks for a course and I'm hoping to find somebody to fit a new rear shock for me. All my tools are at home so I'm at the mercy of paying for it.

I tried contacting 'the motorcycle mechanic' in Fareham but he said he doesn't work on BMWs...

Hoping for a reasonably priced reccomendation not a million miles away please.

What tools do you need? And are you in a location where you can remove/fit the new shock?

spray all the bolt/fixings with something NOW , they have been on a long time , don't forget the silencer too.

Good advice but it wasn’t necessary, thankfully everything undid and came apart quite nicely with no seizing or galling. It all went back together easily enough too.

Nice to see a 20 year old GS in good condition and near identical to one I owned myself back when new.

I was surprised at how small it felt compared to my current 1250 Adv. Oddly in my mind I imagined the bike to be much bigger/taller that it actually is ?
