Hi All,

For the last few weeks when I log into my Hotmail I have 20/30 "message could not be delivered" emails for people who I never emailed in the first place. I have just changed my Hotmail password. Do you think this will be enough or is there anything else I can do?

They may not have actually hacked into your account, they may have just been sending emails using your email address, (I dont know how they do it, I just know it is possible) but to be on the safe side I would also consider changing your other passwords too. If they have been into you email account then they may have also seen other information about your other online accounts - ebay, paypal etc.

It's actually very easy to spoof the sending email address, these days most SMTP servers refuse to action emails that are not to or from the domain of which they are registered.

David is right, make sure you change your passwords.

Changed the password yesterday and no more emails as yet so hope it worked. fingers crossed.
