Is there anyone in the East Midlands who would be able to take a sheepskin rug and fabricate it into a seat over ( with some form of straps or attachments) for me ? I’m no good at all that sort of thing... would like to try a sheepskin for a pending trip to France but don’t really want to spend a fortune ?

I don't know anyone to do this apart from check on internet for someone local who does fabric repairs or alterations.

but I use an Alaskan Leather seat cover. they are brilliant, so comfortable. they are made to measure and the owners are very helpful when ordering . https://alaskaleather.com/

Any local upholsterer would knock this out in minutes; well worth the effort of a few phone calls or wandering into a workshop rug in hand.

Wifey did mine last weekend. Bought from Lambland, £22, some Velcro from Wilco's 80p fit and give it a trim. Looks and works great and easy to take off if needed. Near J27 M1,if you want to take a look.

Ask Mikeyboy. There's a seat upholsterer in Melton (I think) that Mike uses. He may be able to do it?

nice fella in Shepshed (very close to J23 M1) that could do that.

He does all sorts of stuff ... can't remember his name - but google will sort that..HTH

saved you the hassle.

Made mine myself originally for the 09 GS I had but works equally well on the Rallye

ok... had a picture in my head of a white on somehow LOL... like my mate had in his Triumph Stag in the 70's....

Guess brown or black looks ok.... but what do they do?...

Looks don't bother me really it's more the functionality of it that's important. The wool wicks away moisture making longer rides more comfortable, but if you do make one yourself buy a skin that is not made up of pieces as the seams will make you sore.
