some fecker has run off my headlight adjuster, it was there 2 days ago and today its gone!

Noticed when the overhead road signs were being illuminated, the flip lever was still there and was sitting over the fwd support tube!

i hope the thieving scroat gets hit by bus!

Anyone got a smashed light sitting in a garage somewhere and feels kind enough to pass on the adjuster for a crate of beer tokens etc??? :beerjug:

the stealer says its a complete headlight assy as the part isnt seperate :tears

ta!

Not a lot of help I know, but I hope that the person who took it has a Hedgehog as his next shit :D,

Mate sorry to here that.
Dirty scumbags want shooting.

What bike do you have - model age etc.
I can ask for you as I'm going to BMW tomorrow and the chap that works there is brilliant so if he can find a bit I'm sure he would.

I've spent over 10 grand with him over the last year so he does tend to look after me.

That's a pretty obscure part to be stolen. Are you sure it hasn't just vibrated off?

:nenau

yes obscure i must admit... it was there 2 days ago as i flipped the lever, and then today after about 15 secs I saw the signs being lit.

From what I remember the threaded section is quite long and has some resistance to turn so highly doubt it haed worked loose.

Bike is in a communial bike garage and im the only 1 with a GS which makes the whole incident even stranger, but someone has been snooping about as some things kept behind the bike had been disturbed.

Cant trust anyone these days....

will have to get a full cover that has a lock on it.

hi, its a 1200 2006 model and am after the headlght vertical adjuster, maybe 1 of the mechs has 1 lying about in a box or there is a broken headlight somewhere....

oooohhhhh where did you find that..... ?

ill be into the stealer tomorrow giving the spotty faced crusty oik a right bollocking - useless git cant even read a microfiche.

I am afraid it probably did vibrate loose. The last plastic bit is only held on by friction (I know cos I rebuilt one on the MOT forecourt when it fell apart during the test). And, not that you would be taking it out for a ride, but pull the lever off before it falls off. It isn't actually held on without that plastic bit. Takes quite alot of force to put it back on by the way.
