I've been following this over on ADV. It's scary but it doesn't put me off quite yet. These bikes have been around now a while and are built to use hard which a lot of them have (including mine) and this is the first I've ever heard of failing. I think it's an isolated incident but I also think BMW need to step forward and take some responsibility.

The X=country should be able to handle off road but not as well as teh C-Challenge. I think these X-Country's are a bargain as they go for peanuts and great little bikes. Same engine as the x-challenge too![]()
