The Orange catalogue blurb says 16 days standby time, most reports say you need to charge daily, I accept it depends on usage but a big difference. I often have the phones hanging around for days unused then need say an hour or two heavy use - what is real world unused standby time.
The phone blurb says it can handle 1gb duocard max, but they now have a 2gb card out, can the phone handle this (ie. was it a phone or a card restriction)
Will the mp3 player connect and play via a vehicle stereo 'a la' ipod and standard phone vehicle interface.
For mail, is it best to use Orange mail box or stay with email provider.
Phone is shown with GPS display on screen, I already have TOM TOM NAVIGATOR & Bluetooth gps (via a hp ipaq) - can I run this on the phone?
the gps ....no it's different software as far as i know.... it runs on Symbian UIQ
but it will work if you have the right program.
i also read it can take any card size
mail..no eye deer
mp3 i haven't got a car kit so i don't know that...i have a funny feeling it would be in mono for most car kits..but i'm not sure
16 days... absolutely no way. My p900 has on several occasions got itself in a funny state and emptied the battery in half an hour. It will go a week on standby with no bluetooth and every application closed. Forget to close apps and it'll be dead in a day. I think the battery is hurt more by apps not letting the cpu halt or idle than the backlight.
The limit on the datacard may be down to the phone, the old 900 only does 128mb due to it only understanding a limited FAT filesystem.
Music, you'll need to do something clever with the cable as the headset has a 4 ring 2.5mm jack. mic+l+r+grnd. It's not really upto playing music, get a proper device like an ipod.
Orange want a fiver for 3mb. A couple of websites will eat that. The mail client does grab headers first, but I've never used the functionailty in anger as it's got the potential to get really expensive very quickly. Opera browser is o.k. but often throws low memory errors on the phone.

.
sound also come out of the conections at the bottom... that would fit a car kit.
in normal use i would get 2-3 days use out of a P900....i gave up on the internet function..because orange didn't rollover the mb.
i find it plays music well i've even had a film on it
i have an it working as a remote control for tv's too
In mono I think... I use that to drive my autocom for phone use.
It's had it's day I think, I'll just get a small phone w/o all that camera video mp3 web stuff, as the implementations of everything except the phone is poor.
i never had any problems with mine apart for having it replaced about a month ago when i dropped it down a flight of stairs and it hadn't as good a reception after that
