Anyone here got an Sony Experia Z2 or Z3 and got a view on whether these are any good, quite fancy an Android phone after years of iPhones ?

The Z3 looks really good on paper.. waterproof, good camera etc.

thanks

i was quite taken with a Z2 (i think) i was playing with at the w/e. screen was impressive, despite the colours seeming rather unreal after an iphone. scrolling was also a little jerky.

shame it had got so hot in use that the back had cracked.

I have the Experia Z3 Compact, and it is without doubt the best smart phone i've ever used.
It beats all of my previous phones in every way (iphone 5, Galaxy 4&5 HTC1 and Experia Z1)

The Z3C has everything the Z3 has, but is slightly smaller and easier to handle (and i have XL hands) and its £100 cheaper.

Its very very fast, has an excellent screen, a brilliant 20MP camera and excellent front facing Hi-res stereo speakers, its proper waterproof and excellent build quality.....it really is very very good.

And....battery life is excellent and gives me at least 2 days full use between charges...:bow

Yes, i'm extremely impressed with this Sony.....Try one

thanks for the info - will take a look at one the full size Z3 when they are out - just been to the local EE store and they don't get them until 1st Nov.

But sounds like it might just do the job, it's either that or a note 4 edge, or Nexus 6.

It feels like I've been waiting for a large screen iPhone for ages and having toyed with one at the Apple store - I didn't like it much, the build doesn't seem / feel as good as my 4s.

I've had a Z2 since July after years with iphones.

Just love it.The camera especially is amazing as is the 4k video !!

Got a z1 compact. It's brilliant. Had iPhones and other android phones and this sony is the best I've ever had. Get one.!

Very pleased with my Z3 Compact, especially battery life (2 days+). Being waterproof and having an excellent camera attached is a bonus. :thumb2

I went from a 4s to a Galaxy S4 and 4 months later I bought an iPhone 5S. I found Android flaky, wouldn't connect to or hold wifi signal except at home and was slow. Some apps that I'd used on the iPhone, the Android versions were rubbish.

Expensive mistake for me, wouldn't touch another Android phone. Just my opinion.

Brilliant phones, with almost apple like integration from some of the Sony Apps. Dustproof, Waterproof and a great camera. It's the perfect phone for a bike trip, 2 days + Battery life, excellent point and shoot capabilities, and if you want it PS4 remote play (With the Z3), and expandable memory. Seriously good phones.
