Just need to know if it can be powered from the bike so as to give permanent recording looking at the Elite version with the GPS on it
Are they any good ??

Mods please feel free to move to the right place

You could power it from a USB mini plug, though I think you'll probably lose the watertight integrity once you plug in under the rubber cover. If that makes sense. I presume you'd be on continuous "overwrite" with the memory card, tho'.
Good sturdy camera, used one for six months, just a wee bit more bulky than a GoPro thang. Nice image stabilisation. I have mine mounted on the mirror stem, surprisingly good image.

Edit: here's one I made earlier, but bear in mind the lens was covered in heavy rain.

You could shrink a tube of electrical-shrink on the back of the Virb which would prevent all but a downpour from affecting the unit?

I have a brand new one still boxed for sale if you are interested ?
