I have finally found the right combinations of weight and positions to stop the infernal drumming vibration on my Arai Tour X4 – have a look at the photo, just going to cover up the weights with some matt black tape and should be set. Has anyone else tried a stiffing bar which would look a lot neater?

In all honesty I've never suffered from this problem on either my Tour-X 2 or 3... I guess it depends on your height/ bike etc? :nenau

I suffered from peak scuttle on my TourX until I dropped the screen down from it's fully forward/upright position (set that way by the dealer because 'that's how everyone has them set' ). I went for the lowest bar one position and what a difference. No more vibration, smoother airflow around my head and much less noise.

I had one always liked my arais open faced ram ii but this helmet is soooo overrated in my opinion, old fashioned eybrow vents (lol) useless idea.. loose mine all the time.Better venting that works would be good a sun visor too? visor does not go out of eye line? its far too heavy after owning a carbon UVEX and the interior has something going on around the top of my ears! Didn't fit headsets got rid.But everyone is different i have appal who also says its the dogs?

I like the BMW enduro 3 but everyone seems to be putting me off saying its draughty and to noisy? not sure i am worried about that wish i could get myself in the modular mode but just cant yet!

I like to here about helmets so keep em coming.

What size weights & where did you get them. Suffer from the interminable drumming myself sometimes :eek

Just popped into National Tyres and asked for a strip of weights - got 2 x 10g on the edge and the rest are 5g

I've solved the vibratory problem by applying a thin strip of metal (about 1mm thick, 2.5mm wide, 120mm long) down each side of the underside of the visor and a similar strip (1mm x 2.5mm x 100mm) across the front underside. All three strips held in place by gorilla tape. This improved the situation, but didn't entirely cure it, so I've subsequently applied gorilla tape to the whole underside of the visor as per the photo. Hey presto, no more vibes.
