Tour X4 peak question

No, not the usual vibration question.

Should the lower mounting holes have the little bit of plastic across them? (see photo)

Looks like it stops the peak moving to a lower position.

I've emailed Arai but no reply yet.

Right, so Tapatalk not playing ball uploading a photo and I'm at work with stuff to do.

The bottom screw hole is elongated with a thinner cutout at either end but, there's a thin sliver of moulding across the slot that I don't think should be there. Anyone with a Tour X that can tell me if this is right or not?

There is slight adjustment by loosening the screws and holding the peak in the required position as you retighten the screws.

That's what I assumed. The little pieces of plastic moulding are right where the screw would sit for the peak to be in a lower position.

Both myself and a mate cut them out with stanley knife. Peak now lower and ideal with the low sun at this time of year.

I think you'll find they're meant to be there. If you try and fit the peak with the notch in the cut out you'll struggle to get the screw in..
