Hi fokes,
Recently collected a 2018 gsa rallye which I am very happy with, I have owned many bmw and this is the second gsa.
I got an error message that the sos could not connect - happened twice but went away - is that just a software issue?
Also it is running pr5 trail tyres - are these the same as normal PR5- I find quite a road noise from them and had same issue on a 1200rt with PR3
Thanks in advance

Yes that makes sense as I was out mobile range for short periods

I get that sos message a lot usually every ride.....is sos something that is subscription free? Can it be switched Off?

Yes , SOS is subscription free. If you keep getting the "SOS failure msg" ask your dealer to check with BMW for a software update for the SOS module to prevent the false messages. The fix is nothing to do with the TFT software version.
That is according to my experience with 1250 and feedback from dealer.
